Printable Checklist

(If it looks like the picture, probably not)

🔌 Power & Basics

Scale is plugged in securely (batteries are fresh/charged and correctly installed)

Power supply and cable show no visible damage

I know, I know, but it has to be done - switch the scale off and on again

Indicator/display turns on normally (no flickering or dim display)

Has there been known power surges or issues

⚖️ Platform & Physical Checks

Nothing is touching the scale platform (walls, bins, cables, frames, mouse nests)

No debris, product, dirt, ice, snow or buildup under or around the platform

Platform moves freely when lightly pressed

Is there evidence that the scale may have been 'gently tapped' by a lift truck

Scale feet are intact and resting evenly on the floor

🔄 Zero & Tare

All weight removed from the scale (snow and ice included)

Scale has been zeroed with an empty platform

Any containers, pallets, or trays are properly tared

🌡️ Environment

Scale has not been recently moved without re‑checking zero

No strong drafts, vibration, or wind affecting the scale

Scale has had time to warm up (especially after temperature changes)

📟 Indicators & Messages
